Here in the CFV Forums we do have a points system. The currency used is called "Cray Coins". The reason currency was added was to reward users for their contribution to the community. Basically points are distributed like so:
-You earn 5 "Cray Coins" for every thread you make
-You earn 1 "Cray Coin" for every reply you make
Its a very simple system and a very easy system to use.
Many will say: "What will I use this for?"
There are multiple places where you can use these points:
3) Stock
-You can invest your "Cray Coins" into the Stock Market and possibly earn more.
Right now 1 & 2 aren't available for use, it all depends on the rate of updates for the plugin developers. However the plugin for this has updated recently so expect some change soon.
In addition to "Cray Coins" you can earn awards.
An award is given normally during one time events making them exclusive. Meaning that they can only be earned once (with some exceptions). Some rewards may be given to multiple members while others may only be given to 1 single person. I will not reveal any of the criteria used to earn these rewards, but will note they are represented by a custom image and that you can view them on your profile and mouse over them to see what criteria was fulfilled.
