So it seems my Great Silver Wolf, Garmore page was a little bit of a hit. I'm rather glad for that too. I would like to post more Single Card analysis pages, but I don't want to clutter it all up for GP cards, which is what a specialize in. I do however tinker with other clans, and I'll try my best to give detailed covers over each card I've used. I want to give as best a view of each card for everyone, and anyone who can add anything I missed will also be added to the pages. Anyway, with that done, let's go to the actual card, which is the almighty...
Super Dimensional Robo, Daiyusha!
Now, lemme just say right now, I am a HUGE fan of mecha anime, especially super robots. The kind of things that defy throws logic by the wayside and makes way for something you'll never see in real life. GaoGaiGar is my favorite Super Robot anime to date. So seeing Daiyusha, who was based directly off this genre, made me smile so wide. Daiyusha made his first intro in Season 1, under the control of my favorite cardfighter/character in the series, but I'll try my very best to stick with this card as to not fanboy you all to death. XD
His skill is simple, yet deadly in the right hands. An extra crit is the ultimate form of pressure for me, and I'm sure it's that way to a lot of players. Some people would say that it's harmless, but that's not true at all. Dimension Police has a lot of cards that support the Vanguard with extra attack, especially the Dimensional Robo sub-clan itself. They're usually at a very low cost too. So in the hands of a skilled player, one could see Daiyusha's skill go off very often, along with other skills that may make them sweat.
BIG NOTE: Some new players tend to make a mistake on how to activate his skill, and claim you can boost him to activate his skill. That is Wrong. Boosting is during the attack phase, not at the beginning. As such, Daiyusha cannot gain his extra Critical with just boosting, he must gain power from another skill, like Daidriller for example.
Daiyusha's lore (Directly taken from the Cardfight Wiki): A messenger of justice who protects the peace of Cray from those from the dimensions beyond this one. It belongs to a vigilante corps dedicated to capturing multidimensional criminals from another world, and when a search found out certain criminal organizations were entering the dimension of Cray, it came to this planet. Its core, arms, legs, and wings are formed from the strongest combination of multiple robots combining as one, allowing it to defeat evil with various techniques, including the Special Instant-Kill Technique "Great Justice Sword"
Interesting to note that Daiyusha's lore foreshadowed the arrival of Void and Link Joker before anything else did. The combination part foreshadowed another unit that allows you to superior ride Daiyusha (or another G3 Dimensional Robo of your choice), and the Instant-Kill Technique seems to refer to his skill.
All and all, Daiyusha is an extremely solid Dimension Police Vanguard with a lot of possibilities and combos that make him a deadly pick for an Ace, especially in his own Sub-clan. He's an excellent choice for those of you who would like to get into Dimension Police.
Daiyusha can be found from two sources.
VG-BT03: Demonic Lord Invasion (As a RR and SP Rarity)
VG-TD12: Dimensional Brave Kaiser (2 Copies)
Japan only, for now. No release date has been established for English players yet.
From the shops I've visits, and from Amazon's results, Daiyusha comes out at a little over 10 US dollars for the original.
So on that note, that covers as much as I can think of for Super Dimensional Robo, Daiyusha for now. I realize there's a Crossride, but that is it's own card, and it works a little differently from original Daiyusha, so perhaps another time. See you all next time!
Trivia: Daiyusha, and most of the Dimensional Robos, are based off of mecha from the Super Robot series GaoGaiGar, the King of Braves.
